- Images and videos for reverse search and AI detection

Note on Permissions: Reverser utilizes the system Photo Picker API. This ensures we only access the specific media files you choose to verify, without requiring or requesting broad access to your device’s entire photo or video library.
2.4 Biometric Data Disclaimer
Our deepfake detection technology analyzes digital artifacts and facial geometry solely to identify synthetic manipulation or AI generation. We do not perform facial recognition to identify individuals, nor do we collect, store, or share biometric identifiers that could be used to identify a specific person.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain our verification services
- Authenticate your device and manage your account
- Track usage limits (free tier: 10 verifications/day, premium: unlimited)
- Improve our services and develop new features
- Respond to your support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
4. Privacy Mode
Reverser offers a Privacy Mode that allows you to process metadata extraction locally on your device without uploading content to our servers. When Privacy Mode is enabled:
- Metadata extraction is performed entirely on your device
- No images or videos are uploaded to our servers
- Verification history is not saved
- Online features (reverse search, AI detection) are disabled
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data as follows:
- Uploaded Content: Deleted immediately after processing (within 24 hours maximum)
- Verification History: Stored for up to 90 days or until you clear your history
- Usage Statistics: Aggregated data retained indefinitely for analytics
- Device Authentication: Retained while your account is active
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate (Bing Search API, Google Fact Check API, NewsAPI)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Reverser is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
